Rent and Service Charges
What is rent?
Rent is payable on your property for the cost of providing, managing, maintaining and improving your home.
The money that we raise through rent collection goes back into providing services and maintaining your home.
We review your rent charge every year and let you know about any changes each March.
What is a service charge?
Some tenancies involve a charge for services, this is for services on your scheme which are not covered by your rent.
A service charge is what you pay for a service you get and can include the following:
Cleaning and grounds maintenance
Servicing and maintaining lifts
Repairing and replacing equipment like door entry systems and fire fighting equipment
The cost of shared utilities (such as electricity, gas or water)
Infestation treatment
