The Board meets 4 times per year and is currently made up of 9 Members responsible for planning the future direction and governance of the Society.

All of the Members are volunteers, who give their time for no remuneration and are committed to the approved ‘vision and values’ approved by the Board. Given their differing backgrounds in interests, careers and experience, the Board members offer a variety of expertise to ensure that debate is challenging and that the competing pressures on the Society are balanced.

It is the deliberate intention to have a range of backgrounds on the Board, and a regular audit of skills is undertaken to ensure that an appropriate balance is maintained.
