Net Zero
Net zero means reducing the carbon pollution our homes produce so it balances out to zero. For us, this means improving insulation, using cleaner and more efficient heating, and choosing greener energy where possible. The goal is to create warmer, more comfortable homes with lower energy bills for customers, while also helping to protect the environment for future generations.
What are we doing in our journey to Net Zero?
• Our Property Team uses an Electric Vehicle to get out and about delivering our services
• The communal areas within our schemes are all signed up to a Renewable Energy Tariff which means the supplier is committed to purchasing enough renewable energy to match our electricity consumption, supporting clean energy production and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
• We are very close to all of our homes achieving an Energy Performance Certificate rating of at least C. So far we have achieved 95%, and we aim to get to 100% by 2030.
